Here at High Tech Design Safety we work with a variety of clients in multiple industries. And despite the differences, there are certain commonalities in the projects, one of which is that they must be certified or approved to meet required standards for that industry and use.

Our CEO, Steve Barcik Amstel shares some of his insights from the field in today’s video.

We just got an email from a client. …They did not have a proper certificate on this new piece of equipment that they shipped. We are going to help them with that. We evaluated similar equipment at their site and we are going to have to travel to their end users site to get it completed. Kind of a little bit of mess for them; however, it is getting sorted.

What you can take away from this scenario and implement to get your product to market quicker and easier with less total cost is to design to the standard. This means finding the standard that best fits your situation. And to take it a step further bring in a certification laboratory, like High Tech Design Safety, early in the process to help find the correct standard and to perform design reviews along the way.

If you look at the links below, we have a list of some of these different standards where you can get training and know what you need to incorporate before you design and ship your equipment.

UL 508A Standard for Industrial Control Panels Series with High Tech Design Safety
